X-Wing Alliance, X-Wing vs TIE-Fighter and the expansion Balance of Power are great multiplayer space combat games. Pilots can fly co-op missions or head to head in free for all or team melees. However, these game require a 3rd party installer to be installed on a 64 bit system such as Vista or Win 7. The installers are located here: [You must login to view link]
These games have been played competitively the last 10 years in squad vs squad wars and tournaments. Player and team kill-death ratios, game win-loss ratios and player win-loss ratios are logged. Check it out: [You must login to view link]
